Teacher Helping Student

Leading Futures Assessment Centre

Our Assessment Centre provides a specialist, nurturing environment where learners can be understood in a holistic, meaningful way.

We gather high-quality information that helps schools, parents/carers and professionals make informed decisions about support and next steps.

Who Is It For?

  • Learners with emerging or unclear needs

  • Children who are struggling with engagement, progress or confidence

  • Those awaiting, or not eligible for, diagnostic pathways

  • Schools or families needing a clear profile of strengths, needs and support strategies

The Support We Provide

Our SEND Assessment Centre offers a structured, 2-week part-time placement (AM or PM) designed to build a clear, accurate understanding of each learner’s needs.

Across ten days, learners take part in:

  1. Standardised & Screening Assessments: We assess key areas such as language, reading, spelling, numeracy, and processing indicators to understand each learner’s current attainment and potential barriers.

  2. Observational Assessments: Learners are observed in both structured and unstructured activities, focusing on interaction, attention, communication, sensory needs, engagement and learning behaviours.

  3. Learner Voice: We spend time understanding how the learner feels about themselves, their learning, strengths, challenges, hopes and ambitions.

  4. Parent/Carer Voice: Families are invited to share their insights, experiences and priorities.

  5. Teaching Sessions: These sessions help us see how the learner engages, learns and interacts across different contexts.  Each placement includes tailored sessions in:

    • English

    • Maths

    • Personal Development

    • ACE – Artistic & Creative Expression

At the end of the placement, schools and families  receive a comprehensive Learner Evaluation Report, outlining:

  • The results of assessment

  • Description of strengths and barriers

  • Suggested outcomes and next steps

  • Suggested reasonable adjustments

  • Recommended strategies and interventions

  • Guidance on pathways to external services

  • Advice on what evidence may be needed for future referrals/EHCP requests

  • The report can be used directly in provision maps, meetings, and applications.

Please note: These are screening and educational assessments, not formal diagnostic assessments.

You can refer directly as a school, parent or professional.
