Curriculum Vision
Within our setting we have designed the curriculum for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that fosters inclusivity and meets the diverse needs of all learners. This allows our young people to re-engage with learning and either return to mainstream schooling or achieve success whilst remaining with ourselves

Over time, the learning needs of each individual learner will be accurately assessed to support the personalisation of their learning pathway.
The key principles of our curriculum are:

-
To keep our learners safe
-
To provide a high quality of inclusive education
-
To help our learners to develop personally by meeting individual needs
-
To improve outcomes for our young people
Our curriculum helps to improve the educational and holistic outcomes of our learners, regardless of their starting points, to increase life chances and ensure successful futures. We endeavour to further our learners’ intellectual development, social and emotional development, character, happiness, and success. Our curriculum creates an enriching and supportive environment where SEND learners are empowered and can thrive.
We underpin our curriculum using our Leading Futures values:

Aspire for Excellence
Belong to a Community
Connect to Thrive
We provide ongoing training for staff to equip them with the skills needed to support our SEND learners and to deliver curriculum effectively. Our teachers aim to develop and deliver the curriculum in a way that remains true to the subjects’ core content and concepts, creates a safe learning environment, encourages progression, and develops a lifelong love of learning.
