Join a Provision That Changes Futures

Leading Futures is seeking a passionate and dedicated Tutor of English to join our growing Alternative Provision supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is more than a teaching role. It is an opportunity to transform confidence, rebuild engagement, and empower young people to achieve their potential in a truly inclusive environment.

The Role

 

You will:

  • Plan and deliver adaptive, engaging English lessons tailored to individual needs

  • Assess progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with SEND specialists, support staff and families

  • Contribute to pastoral care and learner wellbeing

  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and inclusive practice

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has strong knowledge of the English curriculum

  • Has experience teaching learners with SEND (alternative provision experience desirable)

  • Understands barriers to learning and how to remove them

  • Demonstrates resilience, empathy and high expectations

  • Is committed to inclusive education and ongoing professional development

  • A willingness to work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
