6 Miles, Big Smiles, Endless Pride

On Friday 23rd January, we visited Kinver Edge, where our learners explored the historic cave houses and took on another 6 miles as part of our wider challenge.

For some of our learners, this was a physically demanding achievement, particularly due to fine motor difficulties and sensory needs. Every single learner rose to the challenge. They explored the caves, embraced the outdoors, and took pride in what they accomplished. Moments like these build confidence, independence, resilience, and joy. They are only possible with the right support and access.

A minibus would make experiences like this more frequent, more inclusive, and more accessible for all our learners. Every donation, no matter the size, truly makes a difference and goes directly towards creating opportunities that change lives. Please continue to follow, share, and support our journey. Your encouragement means the world to us. Thank you for believing in our learners and helping us open doors to new experiences.

Santa Visits Leading Futures! 🎅✨

This week, Leading Futures was filled with festive magic as Santa himself came to visit! Our grotto became a joyful haven for SEND children, offering a calm, welcoming space to celebrate the season.

Children and their families enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies, exploring sensory play activities, and choosing a special gift from Santa. With hot chocolate, mince pies, and plenty of smiles, the day was filled with warmth and wonder.

It was a fantastic event, and seeing our young people relaxed, engaged, and happy made it truly special. Thank you to everyone who helped make Santa’s visit unforgettable!

Opening Doors: Leading Futures Celebrates First Careers Fair Success!

What a fantastic day we’ve had at our very first Leading Futures Careers Fair!

 We designed this event especially to support our SEND and home-educated learners – a space where they can explore post-16 options in a smaller, friendly environment.

Young people from across neighbouring local authorities joined us and got hands-on with so many sectors:

* transport 🚛

* construction 🏗️

* engineering ⚙️

* floristry 🌸

* commercial contracts 👷

The standout moment?

The young people absolutely impressed us with their floristry skills… could we have future florists in the making? 💐

A huge thank you to all the exhibitors whose passion and support helped make today a success. You inspired our young people and opened doors for their futures.  Here’s to many more such events!

We hope you are looking forward to Comic Relief and Red Nose Day 2025.   This year celebrates 40 years of fundraising!

The money raised will support those facing poverty here in the UK and around the world.  Your support could help provide shelter for those that need it, put food on plates, fill the shelves of baby banks, offer someone to talk to or somewhere to be safe.

Remember to watch a night of comedy, entertainment, and incredible fundraising as Red Nose Day returns live on BBC One, BBC Two and iPlayer on Friday 21 March from 7pm.

This show is expected to celebrate 40 years of going big, giving big, and feeling good together.  The show will bring the nation together with hilarious sketches, live performances, surprise moments, and show-stopping musical acts – all to raise vital funds for good causes across the UK and around the world.
